Rackets Plus was started by ex professional badminton player Nigel Tier over 20 years ago. Nigel has many years retail and wholesale experience as well as coaching to a high level and is currently Manager of Westgate Badminton Centre and Performance Centre. www.westgatebadmintoncentre.co.uk.

Playing experience
Ranking -World top 3 mixed doubles and top 10 Mens doubles
Winner of Canadian, Danish, German World Grand Prix finals and British Masters titles.
Runner up  All England, Japan, China, Malaysian, Hong Kong Opens and World Champs Bronze medallist.

Coaching experience
Badminton England World Class programme coach for over 9 years
Individual Coach to a number of juniors helping them to reach England Junior International level including Jo Goode  Olympic Bronze medallist, Panuga Riou Commonwealth U19 Bronze medallist and 6 Nations U17 Singles Champion and Ben Tier U19 Nationals singles runner up. He is currently working with Viki Williams under 15 Nationals singles runner up and rising talent 14 year old Lynnlette Aung.

Nigel also coaches Performance Centre Emerging group with a number of talented children from Hampshire and surrounding counties and has also been involved in Coach Education, as a Badminton Development Officer and has been a lecturer in the sports science department of the University of Portsmouth.
